AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari will ONLY be considered for a return to the Black Stars until his apologises to the Ghana FA, spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara has said.

Muntari, 30, is serving an indefinite suspension from the Black Stars after he was sacked from the team’s camp during the 2014 World Cup over disciplinary grounds.

The midfielder was guilty of an unprovoked physical attack on an executive committee member of the Ghana FA during the country’s shameful conduct in the South American country.

There have been many clamouring calls for the recall of the  former Sunderland man but Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara insists he will only return if he offers an unqualified apology to the federation and Ghanaians.

“If Sulley wants to play for the Black Stars, there are modalities he must follow. The rule has been set and even Grant knows this, so he won’t return until he apologizes,” FA spokesman Sannie Darra told GTV.

The midfielder has struggled for form in recent time at AC Milan with reports in Italy suggesting that he will be shipped out at the end of the current campaign.

  1. Massa lets 4get abt dis guy,he’s a dead horse now.In my opinion I dont fink we nid him in da black stars again.Remember we hv Kojo Asamoah.

  2. @Da Last Show: you even sound worse than Saanie “Darga” Saanie took it personal with Muntari and you are the kind of fan who perpetuate confusion between players. Why K Asamoah into this. It’s unnecessary. Back to Saanie: the troubles between Armah and Muntari was a provoked one! Even with the fact that I don’t believe in violence at any level of confusion, Sulley Muntari doesn’t need to apologize to anyone. And Muntari doesn’t need to prove himself to anyone on the field of play anymore. He’s done it at any level. Leave the man alone.

Afriyie Acquah can replace him. Muntari was not submissive enough which the elders did not like but he doesn’t owe any apology. It sounded like he did what he did for the sake of his team. I hope he comes back one day though, but if not Black Stars will not die

  4. Lol wat I meant was Kojo Asamoah is der to gv da brilliant or killer passes in placed of Sulley Muntari.Fr dat matter we ain’t gonna nid his services any longer. He shd concentrate on his club football as he has gotten to his twilight of his career.

  5. I pray he doesn’t apologise so dat da young once can gt opportunity to express themselves. We nid da Wakaso’s,Afriyie Acquah’s Sulley Muniru’s etc to gt playing tym in da national team, not dead horses lyk Sulley n Essien.
