AFCON 2015: Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda calls for unity ahead crunch encounter against Algeria

Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has charged his colleagues to unite ahead of their must-win game against Algeria on Friday afternoon.

Dauda, 30, is the oldest player in Ghana’s camp and one of the senior players available to coach Avram Grant.

The former Orlando Pirates shot stopper has lost his spot in the starting line up to Razak Brimah but insists collective effort is key to success in Equatorial Guinea.

“We have already forgotten about the Senegal defeat and have spoken as a team about the way forward,” Dauda told GHANASoccernet.com

“We understand the essence of team work and collective understanding.

“Its battle time and it’s in our DNA to respond and we will all have to unite as a nation to achieve success.”

Ghana coach Avram Grant will have to wait for a late fitness test to know if influential skipper Asamoah Gyan is fit enough to start despite training fully with the team.
