The Three Lions of England had the more ferocious roar as they walloped the Teranga Lions of Senegal in a round of 16 fixture of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar played on Sunday.
The English side dominated most of the proceedings to beat the Africans by three goals to nil which were engineered by the young stars in the team.
Jordan Henderson had scored in the 38th minute after a cagey 30 minute, but an Harry Cane’s stoppage time goal gave the English team the maximum confidence needed going into the break.
By the second phase of the match, player of Nigeria decent, Bukayo Saka put paid to all other threat by the African champions with the third goal in the 57th minute.
Saka lifted the ball delicately over Mendy after an excellent pick-out from Foden to score his third goal of the ongoing World Cup.
England now have a date with reigning champions, France in the quarter finals of the mundial.
