As Nigeria’s U-17 Women’s National team gear up for the battle with Chile, Flamingos forward Afolabi Taiwo has insisted that their focus is to qualify for the next round of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.
The Nigerian girls arrived in Bhubaneswar venue of the match on Saturday evening and commenced training for the important match.
Nigeria and Chile will come face-to-face Monday in the final group match, with Flamingoes only needing a draw to progress while Chile must win.
Afolabi said they are ready to give their best in the game to get the ticket.
“We arrived in Bhubaneswar Saturday for our last group game against Chile. We will give our best to make sure, we qualify for the next round”, she said.
Nigeria started off their campaign in Group B against Germany with a 2-1 loss but got their act together in the second match against New Zealand as they defeated them 4-0 and will be looking to outclass Chile and get into the Quarterfinals of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
