Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi says the team have put behind them the defeat against Democratic Republic of Congo, and are now firmly focused on securing a win against Cameroon in Sunday’s international friendly encounter in Brussels, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The former African champions put up a below par showing in the 2-0 defeat to the Leopards with Dieumerci Mbokani and Jordan Nkololo getting the goals for the Congolese.

With attention now shifted to the clash against the Indomitable Lions billed for the 11,000 seater, Edmond Matchens Stadium, the Lazio of Italy star divulged to Completesportsnigeria.com, that they are determined to put up a good showing against their perennial rivals.

“The game against DR Congo is gone now, so the only thing we are thinking about is Sunday’s clash with Cameroon,” Onazi told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“It is important for us to win the game and also put up a performance that our fans will appreciate.
“We are are going to approach the game with all seriousness even though it is just a friendly.

“We need a win to improve our confidence as a team and we will put in our best to make sure we beat Cameroon.”
