The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has chosen two Nigerian referees to officiate in the WAFU B U17 tournament starting this weekend in Ghana, Nigeriasoccernet can report.
Kassim Abdusalam of Zamfara State Council and Hope Igho of Lagos State Council are billed to take part in the tournament.
Referee Hope Igho, has refereed in significant games on the continent and earned a certificate as a certified fitness teacher in 2015 before going on to get a Bachelor of Science in Education, Human Kinetics, from the University of Ilorin.
He earned a Master of Science in Education, Exercise Physiology, from the University of Lagos in 2021, and is currently a PhD student in exercise physiology at the University of Ibadan.
Referee Kassim Abdusalam of Zamfara State Council is a new addition to CAF’s referee’s lists.
The referees have successfully passed their medical and fitness tests in Ghana and are ready for the tournament.
