UECL: Ahmed Musa leads Sivasspor to battle against Peter Olayinka’s Slavia Prague

José Mourinho’s AS Roma won the first edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League with an English-Nigeria striker Tammy Abraham playing a crucial role in their triumph.

They defeated Feyenoord who also paraded a Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers by a lone goal in the final.

Group G will see 5 Nigerians go head to head. A massive one here definitely and a group to be monitored for lovers of Nigeria footballers.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa and Leke James will represent Sivasspor while the trio of Moses Usor, Peter Olayinka and Yira Sor will file out for Slavia Prague.

Both teams (Slavia Prague and Sivasspor) will faceoff tonight in the Czech Republic. Ballkani and CFR Cluj completes the group.

Four Nigerians will compete in group H. Ibrahim Rabiu and Uche Agbo will represent Slovan Bratislava, Yusuf Otubanjo features for Pyunik while Mathias Oyewusi represents FK Zalgiris.

Slovan Bratislava hosts Zalgiris in their opener while Pyunik visits Basel for theirs.

Samuel Chukwueze and his Villarreal team will compete in group C against Austria Wien, Hapoel Be’er Sheva and Lech Poznan. They kickoff their campaign today Against Lech Poznan in Spain.

Ishaq Abdulrasak’s Anderlecht will fight with FC Steaua Bucharest,  Silkeborg and West Ham United in group B for a place in the second rounds.

They kickoff their campaign playing host to Silkeborg today in Belgium.

Another battle it’ll be between two Nigerians Henty Ezekiel playing for Apollon Limassol and Franklin Sasere playing for FC Vaduz in group E.

Both players are expected to be on parade when FC Vaduz host Apollon Limassol in Liechtenstein tonight.

Dessers claimed the highest scorer’s award with 10 goals, closely followed by Tammy Abraham who finished on 9 goals. Yira Sor, another Nigerian finished 3rd on the Scorer’s chart.
