The Flying Eagles have till April 10 to submit a provisional squad list of 50 players to FIFA ahead of the U20 World Cup, Nigeria soccernet has been informed.
It is from this provisional squad that coach Ladan Bosso will name his final squad for the World Cup.
It is expected that a bigger number of overseas-based players will be drafted to this provisional list.
However, these foreign clubs are not obliged by FIFA to release their players for the competition.
The Flying Eagles qualified for the World Cup when they edged Uganda 1-0 in the quarterfinal of the U20 AFCON in Egypt.
They will represent Africa along with Senegal, The Gambia and Tunisia at the tournament in Indonesia in May.
On Friday, the team will take on Tunisia in the losers’ final of this year’s U20 AFCON.
