“?FC Twente have requested €15m for the services of attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech, “?according to Fox Sports Asia.
The Moroccan international is said to be interesting Italian side Roma, who have now been told how much they will need to pay for Ziyech.
Ziyech has been linked with many Premier League sides in recent times, including the likes of Arsenal, West Ham, Swansea and “?Sunderland, but Roma are said to have made the first move in trying to sign the Twente star, having a bid of €8m plus midfielder Ismail H’Maidat turned down.
H’Maidat joined Roma in January this year, immediately signing for Ascoli on loan, but it would seem the 21-year-old doesn’t have a future at Roma after being offered to Twente as part of the deal for Ziyech.
Jan Van Halst has said that it’s unlikely that Ziyech will remain part of the Eredivisie come the new season, but also that Twente will not be forced into underselling the 23-year-old.
“It would be nice if players like Ziyech stayed with Twente for life, but obviously this isn’t possible,”? Twente director Van Halst told Turksvoetbal.
“Fortunately our economic situation allows us to stop and think, without having to accept any offer just to nab some cash as quickly as possible. The right offer for Ziyech is €15m.”
Ziyech enjoyed a fine season for Twente during the 2015-16 campaign, scoring 17 goals and contributing 10 assists. He also made his international debut for Morocco before the start of last season.
