In a surprising new report by Mexican journalist David Medrano Felix, the TV Azteca personality announced through his official Twitter account that Chivas striker Jose Juan Macias’ transfer to Getafe is practically a done deal, with only a few details left to make it official.
Macias has been linked to multiple European clubs, including Real Sociedad, Ligue 1 champions Lille and Russia’s Krasnodar, as well as Getafe, whose offer seemed the most convincing to the player and Chivas. According to the rumor, Macias will play for Getafe on a loan deal with an option to buy for $12M.
The Chivas youth academy product played a total of 75 matches for el Rebano Sagrado, scoring 23 goals, and is one of Mexico’s brightest young talents, something that Getafe’s skipper Michel knows very well, having followed the Mexican closely when he was managing Pumas UNAM in 2019.
