Lanky Nigerian striker, Umar Sadiq is reportedly close to joining Villarreal, nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.
Pedro Sepulveda, a Lisbon, Portugal-based Football Writer (SIC Noticias) posted a tweet on his verified Twitter handle Tuesday evening regarding the development.
“Umar Sadiq has reached a total agreement with Villarreal CF for personal terms but has no agreement with Almeria yet. Spanish team wants 30 million euros – fixed price plus add-ons. The next days will be decisive,” Sepulveda’s post reads.
Recall Italian Football Transfer expert, Fabrizo Romano posted some days ago that there was no €25m bid for Umar Sadiq from Borussia Dortmund, despite the last rumours, Villarreal are favourites in the race to sign Sadiq.
Speaking to Mundo Deportivo on Monday, CEO of Almeria Mohamed El Assy affirmed that a deal was not too far off for the Nigerian.
“Umar Sadiq has not travelled to England to avoid any type of injury that could stop the transfer that is close at the moment. He will be sold for just under 30 million euros.”
