Italian transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano who earlier reported that German Bundesliga Bayer Leverkusen were edging closer to the completion of a deal for Edozie with an agreement already in place for a two-year deal which would see the winger tied to the club until June 30th 2024, made the announcement via his social media handles.
Romano made it clear that Southampton are trying to hijack Bayer Leverkusen’s transfer move for Nigeria-eligible winger Sam Edozie.

The Anglo-Nigerian joined Manchester City from Millwall and has just a year left on his current contract at the Citizens having spent the last three seasons there.
Edozie has made one senior appearance for Manchester City, against Leicester City in last season’s Community Shield, and is open to leaving the Premier League champions in search of first team football.
