Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris revealed plans to sign a new bumper contract at Spurs, according to “?reports.
The 29-year old was one of Tottenham’s star performers in a superb campaign that saw the Lilywhites finish in 3rd place, one point behind bitter-rivals Arsenal in 2nd.
Spurs have reportedly offered the club-captain a whopping £100k-per-week deal set to run until 2021. It would mark a 25% pay rise from his current deal, which was signed back in 2014.
Lloris was quick to dismiss speculation linking him with a move away from White Hart Lane
Speaking to reporters in France during the lead up to Euro 2016, as quoted by the “?Daily Mirror, Lloris said:
Hugo Lloris says he has every faith in Tottenham boss Pochettino and is ready to pen a new deal at WHL #THFC pic.twitter.com/jzT8NbhZp5
“?”I have faith in Mauricio Pochettino and with Toni Jimenez, the goalkeeping coach,
“The club is in a very good dynamic, the young players are in the England team and we are building something strong.
“It is very positive. I don’t even think about leaving. For me, the adventure is on course.”?
The Spurs skipper will need to call upon his leadership skills once again this summer, as he looks set to lead out the French national team at Euro 2016.
France go into the tournament as favourites, and with the likes of Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann and Dimitri Payet in the side as well as Lloris in goal, it’s not difficult to see why.
