“?Chelsea goalkeeper Thibuat Courtois has admitted he spoke to manager Marc Wilmots after Belgium’s 2-0 loss to Italy at the Euros.
Courtois was rumoured to have a “furious altercation” with Wilmots and ahead of the Belgium’s game against the Republic of Ireland, Courtois told the “?Mirror: “we’re all winners, you want to win a game and I was a little bit frustrated after the match.
“Perhaps we didn’t do what we needed to do in that game, but we must learn the necessary lessons.
“It was constructive criticism and we have worked on it as a team, and we need a positive result as a team.”
Speculation continues to grow about unrest within the Belgium squad with suggestions of Wilmots losing a dressing room filled with individual talent.
Wilmots, however, has insisted nothing has changed and that heated discussions are normal in football.
“I gave my opinion to the players, they then gave their opinions and then we trained. That’s normal at football. I’m the man in charge. I make the decisions.
“I’m not concerned about that [stories of discontent coming from own dressing room]. It is part of the football circus. I don’t believe the players leaked any information.”
