There was no rationale behind my sack – Rohr

It looks like the heat surrounding the sack of erstwhile coach of the Nigeria Super Eagles, Genort Rohr will not die down as the German tactician continues to hive more revelations.

The former Super Eagles gaffer has talked about how he was sacked by the then NFF Boss, Amaju Pinnick, saying there was no justification for his sack.

He alleged that then NFF Boss Amaju Pinnick had him sacked in a bid of avoiding disaster for the national team; however, reverse is the case.

“Amaju Pinnick said that I was sacked to avoid a disaster (for the Super Eagles)… But everybody can see that without me, there was a disaster. These are the facts,” he told journalist.

“There was no rationale for sacking me as they did, because if I had gone to the AFCON and not won it, or if I had not qualified for the World Cup, the could have ended my contract without paying me anything… But they are paying up my contract in full now. I don’t think they studied my contract properly before taking their decision,” he added.

It will be recalled that the tactician was sacked after 64 months at the helm of affairs and was replaced with former international Augustine Eguavoen on the 12th of December, 2021.
