Taiwo Awonyi was the hero of the day as newly promoted side, Nottingham Forest got their first victory of the season in match day two of the English Premier League.
His goal was the match winner as Nottingham Forest won 1-0 against Westham at the City Ground.
Awoniyi, 25 scored the goal in the 47th minutes additional time of the first half, a goal which the first goal in the City Ground since 1999.
Consequently he becomes Nottingham Forest first scorer in the premier league since Chris Bart-Williams on May 16, 1999 against Leicester City.
Awoniyi who had been lively all through the game getting in the right positions, was spot to hit a deflected Lingard’s effort to the net.
Forest held on in the second half as goalkeeper Dean Henderson saved Declan Rice’s penalty in the 64th minutes.
