Nigeria kick off their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on a winning leg and the team is primed according to Oluwasemilogo Ajayi.
The Three-time African Champions will host Sierra Leone in the first game of the group, but it is expected to be a tricky test.
In the last two meetings between the sides, the Leone Stars have managed to snatch two points from their more illustrious opponent’s, including a dramatic 4-4 draw in Benin.
Speaking after the second practice session in preparation of the June 9th fixture, Ajayi insists the group wants a win and will play for three points.
“We approach every game wanting to win, that’s the objective whether it’s Sierra Leone or any other team we go into the game looking for three points,” the CB told FL in the Super Eagles Abuja camp.
“We know it’s not going to be easy, so definitely we take the game very very seriously, we listen to what the Coach has to tell us in terms of the game plan and we give everything out there to make sure that we come home with the three points.”
