Super Eagles trio Ndidi, Musa, Iheanacho Rejoin Leicester City For Pre-Season Programme

Nigeria trio, Wilfred Ndidi, Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho, have all returned to Leicester City for pre-season duties ahead of the new season.

The trio, who were part of the Super Eagles squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, according to a report in Leicestermercury.co.uk, teamed up with their teammates on Friday.

They were granted extended break by The Foxes following their involvement with the Super Eagles at Russia 2018.

The three players were all involved in Nigeria’s three games at the mundial with Musa making the headlines for his brace in Gernot Rohr’s men’s 2-0 win against Iceland in their second Group D match in Volgograd.

Musa’s future in Leicester City remains uncertain after a stint with his former club, CSKA Moscow on loan where he bagged six goals in 10 league games. He failed to make a single league appearance for Claude Puel’s men last season before that loan switch.

Ndidi featured on a regular basis for the Premier League champions but his season was cut short after he picked up a harmstring injury in Leicester’s 5-0 loss to Crystal Palace in April, while Iheanacho made 21 league appearances appearances and scored thrice.

They are not likely to be involved in the Foxes first official friendly against Notts County on Saturday.
