Middlesbrough striker, Chuba Akpom has ones again been minutes for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award and this time, the month of March, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Boro striker scored in all four of his games, registering five goals and providing one assist.
It’s not likely to be a smooth run for Akpom who faces a stiff battle from another Arsenal prodigy, Nathan Tella.
The Burnley striker also in the month under review scored as many as Akpom.
The Nigeria-eligible duo will be contending with Viktor Gyokeres of Coventry City, who won the award in November, and Stoke City’s right-back Ki-Jana Hoever, who scored 3 goals.
Meanwhile, Akpom’s manager, Micheal Carrick is also in the running for the managers award.
Carrick has now been nominated four times for the monthly managerial award since taking charge at Middlesbrough in October.
