Steven Gerrard’s Rangers Capture Nigerian Striker Sadiq Umar from Roma

AS Roma 21 year old Nigerian forward Sadiq Umar has confirmed his impending loan move to Scottish side Rangers, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Sadiq was a big hit at Dutch side NAC Breda where he spent the second half of last season on loan with his five goals in six games helping them in their quest to beat the drop to the second division.

The forward who finished as top scorer for Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Olympic, where they won bronze in the words of his close pal Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman will become the 8th signing of coach Steven Gerrard this summer by next week.

” He ( Sadiq) has agreed to join Rangers because at Roma the coach couldn’t guarantee him regular run of games if he stays. Something he knows he can get in Scotland with Rangers “, Mowiz said on his Radio show Liberty Sports Ride on 91.7fm, Kaduna.

” I think the catch has to be the chance of working with Steven Gerrard. The move per the last time I spoke with Sadiq should be done by next week. He recently got married to his Italian girlfriend, so the issue of work permit won’t be an issue “, Mowiz remarked.
