After missing Ajax first two games of the 2022/23 Dutch Eredivisie season due to suspension, Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey made his debut for the dutch champions on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Nigerian was suspended after getting a straight red card as in Ajax defeat to PSV during the Dutch Super Cup, a decision which ruled him out of his club’s first two games of the new season.
Returning to the starting eleven against Sparta Rotterdam, Calvin Bassey marshaled the defense line of Ajax as Bergwijn scored the only goal of the encounter in the 37th minutes as they win their third league match of the new season on Sunday.
