It is believed that their third and final offer, which now includes bonuses and a sell-on fee, could clinch the deal as it would come close to Napoli’s asking price of €20m.

Saints, who reached Wembley in the EFL Cup final with a 2-0 aggregate triumph over Liverpool, have been monitoring the striker in this transfer window but were unable to seal the deal early on in January. While a potential loan move for the 25-year-old with an option to buy in the summer had been turned down too.
Other Premier League clubs such as West Bromwich Albion and Everton have also enquired about Gabbiadini but have buckled to match Napoli’s asking price.
As for Gabbiadini, he is very interested in plying his trade in the English top flight and personal terms will not be an issue as talks between the two clubs have stepped up, reported by “?talksport.
The Italy International forward has made 19 appearances this season and scored five goals, including three in his last three games.
