Senegal U23 coach Saliou Dia rues scoring chances against Ghana

Senegal Under-23 coach Saliou Dia is mulling over his team’s poor conversion rate in their barren draw against Ghana in the group B opener of the 11th African Games Brazzaville 2015 on Sunday.

The Senegalese spurned several goal scoring opportunities against the Ghanaians at the Alphonse Massamba Debat Stadium in the Congolese capital as the two teams shared the spoils.

Senegal coach Saliou Dia is confident his charges will bounce back in their next game.

“There is only one player in my team who has an experience at this level. We are a growing team. Our goal is to prepare for the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations that we will host in November,” he told cafonline.com

“We created many chances. I believe with a bit of precision, we could have put them down and win the game.”
