“?Sevilla’s on-loan midfielder Samir Nasri is weighing up a move to the MLS, “?according to the Daily Star.
Nasri seemingly has no future at Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, having been criticised for returning to training overweight during the summer and then being shipped out on loan to La Liga side Sevilla. Nasri currently has three years left on his current deal at the Etihad.
The 29-year-old is expected to complete his year on loan at Sevilla, where he has so far scored one goal and assisted another in four La Liga appearances, but could move to Man City’s sister club, New York City, in the MLS. City reportedly want £10m for the Frenchman, but could lower their demands for the American side.
The former Arsenal midfielder has reportedly had offers from China, where the likes of Ramires, Graziano Pelle and Hulk currently ply their trade, but the MLS and America holds more appeal. Frank Lampard, who played alongside Nasri for a year at City, currently plays for New York City.
Nasri’s future at City looked bleak during the summer when Guardiola signed a raft of impressive attacking players, like Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and Nolito. Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Raheem Sterling have also started the season in impressive form, with Nasri’s future looking likely to lie away from City.
During his five years at City after his move from Arsenal, Nasri has made 171 appearances for City, scoring 26 goals. He won the Premier League twice, the Community Shield once and the League Cup once.
