Rohr Praises Super Eagles, Confident Of Victory Over Argentina

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has backed his team to overcome Argentina in their last Group D game of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles got back on track with an impressive 2-0 win against debutant Iceland on Friday.

Ahmed Musa was the hero for the Super Eagles as he netted twice to secure the all important win.

The win means the Super Eagles must avoid defeat against Argentina in their last group game on Tuesday To progress into the round of 16.

Speaking in his post-match press conference after the win against Iceland, Rohr praised his players for their togetherness.

“What I like in my young team is humility, solidarity and fighting spirit,” Rohr said.

“I thought before this World Cup we were here to learn. I think this team will be ready in 2022 and this World Cup is coming early, but we have a good chance to win against Argentina.”
