Real Madrid are the latest club to be linked with Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante, following reports from “?Spanish paper “?AS that the French international has been offered to Los Blancos.
The Spanish side, who only have one other true defensive midfielder in Brazilian Casemiro, are said to have been asked whether they wish to bring Kante to the Bernabeu. Former Galactico Claude Makelele is reported to favour the move, with AS reporting that he sees himself in Kante.
Reports linking Kante with a move away from the King Power Stadium follow Claudio Ranieri’s admission that the club will not stand in the way of any of their jewels leaving. Fellow teammates Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have also been heavily linked with departing the Premier League champions.
An unknown quantity when he arrived in the Premier League following his transfer from Ligue 1 side Caen on a four-year deal, Kante has taken England’s top division by storm.
Currently on international duty at Euro 2016 for host nation France, Kante was pivotal to Leicester’s domestic success. Taking to the field 37 times throughout the domestic season, Leicester’s number 14 has become renowned for his ability to read the pattern of play. Throughout the 2015-16 season, Kante amassed over a century of interceptions.

With questions being asked as to how the 25-year-old was not picked up by a so called ‘bigger club’, Kante now finds himself as a major target amongst Europe’s elite.
As well as reports suggesting that Kante has been offered to Madrid, the Frenchman has persistently been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
