Super Eagles forward, Saviour Godwin has received the Portuguese Primeira Liga Most Valuable Player award for September/October with delight.
Saviour received his award from Joaquim Evangelista, president of the players’ union, at Pina Manique Stadium in Lisbon, in the presence of Casa Pia coach, Filipe Martins.
The pacy winger led his team to an unprecedented start to the season as they won five, drew two and one defeat.
“I am very excited to win this award, thanks to the team effort,” he credited.
“This is not just for me, the team helped me to win this award and I feel very happy.”
Success who has scored 3 goals in 13 games pulled 16.29% of the votes to win ahead of João Mário (Benfica) with 13.01%, and Ricardo Horta (SC Braga), who recorded 12.82%
