“?Liverpool are thought to be lining up Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub “Kuba” Blaszczykowski as a high-profile replacement for Jordon Ibe, after the club reportedly accepted a £15m bid from Bournemouth for the young forward.

The Poland international found himself loaned out to Fiorentina in Serie A last season, having become something of a bit-part player for Dortmund as he crept towards the age of 30, and the German club have revealed that talks will be held regarding his future sooner rather than later.

Blaszczykowski starred under Jurgen Klopp for a number of seasons – particularly the 2012/13 campaign, which saw him pick up 11 goals and 10 assists in just 27 appearances. Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told “?Bild this week: “Kuba [Blaszczykowski] is a BVB player. We will talk about his future in the next few days.”

The German newspaper claim that the 30-year-old could be available for a bargain €5-7m even though he still has two years remaining on his contract, saying that Klopp is keen to reunite with his former star as he looks to build towards a top four challenge in his first full season at Anfield.

However, it’s said that Blaszczykowski is keen to fight his way back into the Dortmund lineup in order to prove that he isn’t – in Bild’s words – ‘for the scrap heap’ after falling out of favour with the club’s leadership.
