Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Peseiro admits there is plenty of work to be done, following Super Eagles hard fought win over Sierra Leone.
Peseiro won his first competitive game in charge of the Eagles, but it took his team grinding out the result.
The three-time African Champions came back from a goal down to beat Sierra Leone 2-1 in their opening Group A match of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Abuja.
Jonathan Morsay gave the visitors an early lead (11?), but a goal from Alex Iwobi (16?) and Victor Osimhen (41?) snatched maximum points for the Eagles.
Speaking after the game, Peseiro said that, “We were better than Sierra Leone in this game, we deserve to win.”
“We changed the setup in the second half, I think it was only the last 10 minutes our opponent had some good moments.”
