“?Paul Pogba has endured a difficult return to life at Manchester United and things could be about to get a whole lot trickier – after former Liverpool man Dirk Kuyt revealed he was praised by the world’s most expensive player, as Jose Mourinho’s suffered defeat at the hands of Feyenoord on Thursday.
Squawka report that Kuyt admitted that the pair had spoken following the conclusion of the Europa League game at the De Kuip Stadium, with Pogba complimentary about the Dutchman’s impressive career.
Kuyt, who took on somewhat of a cult status during his time on Merseyside – where he featured 286 times for the Reds – which included a treble on an outing against United, is still going strong after returning to his former club to continue playing at the age of 36.
Meanwhile Pogba has failed to live up the £89m United outlaid in order to bring the Frenchman back to Old Trafford having delivered a string of underwhelming displays that hit a new low in the Group A clash.

United boss Mourinho made eight changes to the side that faltered in the Manchester derby against City, however Pogba, 23, retained his place in a bid to hit form.
Failing to impress in the Netherlands, United’s number 6 was instead blown away by the performance of Kuyt, which is unlikely to go down too well with the Old Trafford faithful who are desperate to see their new talisman at his best.
“He came up to me at the end of the game and said “?amazing’, that I am here still running around in this day and age,” beamed Kuyt who was quick to return the compliment.
“It’s nice that he has respect for me, especially because he is one of the best players in Europe.”?
