Victor Osimhen has reiterated his commitment to Galatasaray, stating his desire to give his best for the Turkish club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Osimhen’s comments came after he scored a brace in Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Fenerbahce in the Turkish Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.
The Nigerian striker opened the scoring with a thunderous shot in the 10th minute, before adding his second from the penalty spot 17 minutes later.
“I’ve loved this club since I arrived, I love the people, I love the fans,” Osimhen told the club’s official website.
“I want to reciprocate their love by working hard. My teammates are very important to me, they always support me.”
Osimhen also acknowledged the role of his teammates in his goal-scoring exploits.
“If they hadn’t done important things, I wouldn’t have been able to score those goals. I’m grateful to them.”
The win over Fenerbahce was a welcome boost for Galatasaray, who lost 2-1 to Besiktas in a league match last weekend.
