Belgium league pro table topper KRC Genk suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat to the hands of relegation threatened Kortrijk.
The game came with an buildup after Genk striker Paul Onuachu took a big hit at the coach of Kortrijk, Bernd Storck who happened to be his former trainer.
Onuachu before the game described Storck as a ‘cold and rigid boss who rarely consulted his staff or the more experienced players.’
Bernd Storck however took his pound of flesh when the Super Eagles striker came visiting yesterday in the league. Felipe Avenatti gave the host the win, condemning Genk to their first defeat since July 24, 2022.
Genk will now play Club Brugge, the last team to have defeated them five month ago.
