Gateway United emerged champions of the Ogun State FA Cup after edging Beyond Limits Football Academy in the final of the cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 2021 champions reclaimed the title after beating Beyond Limit by a goal to nil at the Dipo Dina Int’l Stadium, Ijebu Ode on Thursday.
A goal by Omolaoye Abiodun in the 57th minutes of the second half was all the game needed to be settled at the end of 90 minutes.
The triumphants had defeated 2022 champions, Ijebu United via penalties in the semi finals to progress to the final while Beyond Limits won MKA FC 2-1 to make the final.
The two teams will represent Ogun State in the National Federation Cup that will hold from next month.
