Ochuko Celebrates In Sri Lanka

Renown SC of Sri Lanka youngster, Ochuko Moses is in upbeat mood, after sinking home his first ever goal for the club he joined in January and admits is really exciting to hit target for the first time this season, as he helped his side beat Super Sun SC 3-1 in the Dialog Champions League.

The Delta State-born attacker, who grew up in Ijanikin area of Lagos and first played in Jordan before switching to Sri Lanka, his side’s third goal in the 85th minute, while Kaiz M. Safraz scored the only goal for Super Sun.

Another Nigerian player, Olayomi was on song for Colombo, as the ‘capital city’ club returned with a vengeance after losing their first game to trounce Negombo Youth 4-0 in their second game played at City Football League ground.

Olayami struck in the 53rd minute, with the other goals coming from Dan Ito (44th minute), Momas (50th minute) and M.N.N. Meera (55th minute) for Colombo.

The biggest reaction form the past weekend, though, is coming from Ochuko, whose team lost 3-1 to Army SC in the final of the Cargills Food City FA Championship at Sugathadasa Stadium in June, but are glad to pick maximum points in their second game of the new season.

In reaction, Ochuko took to Facebook to state his delight and noted in his post that the grace of God continues helping him to make waves in the tiny Asian country, where cricket is their most loved sport.
