NWFL’23: Super Six ticket excites Confluence Queens Whyte Ogonda

Securing Super Six ticket is the dream of every team and managers in the Nigeria Women Football Championship Premiership and Confluence Queens manager case wasn’t different as they book their place in the most coveted playoff, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

Confluence Queens needed just a point to book their place in the Super Six and they did just that playing out a goaless draw with Nasarawa Amazons in the day 13 of NWFL Premiership played on Wednesday in lokoja.

Expressing his happiness for getting the job done in his first attempt with the club, Whyte Ogonda said:

“I am really happy that we are able to secure our qualification even before the last match of the season. The players have done a really good job and I am very proud of them.”

“I want to thank the state government for the supports we have enjoy so far and hope that the team get more encouragement so that we can give a good representation and bring back the trophy to Kogi State.”

Confluence Queens join reigning champions Bayelsa Queens, 2021 champions Rivers Angels, Edo Queens and Delta Queens in the Super Six with one more slot left for grab in group B.
