Robo Queens were a handful for Benue Queens in their Nigeria Women Football League match on Wednesday as the Lagos side earned an emphatic win at home, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Lagos Landladies thrashed the Pride of Benue 8-1 at the Legacy Pitch Stadium, Lagos to reignite their hope of Super Six.
Oluwakemi Adegbuyi opened the score 7 minutes before Opeyemi Ajakaye doubled the lead in 22 minutes to give a 2-0 at halftime.
Mariam Yahaya continued the onslaught on 51 minutes before Ajakaye scored her second and Robo’s fourth 4 minutes later.
Adegbuyi earned her brace on 74 minutes to make it 5-0. Yahaya made it 6 on 80 minutes before Ajakaye completed her hat trick 2 minutes later.
Comfort Saawua pulled one back for Benue Queens in the 89th minute before Yahaya completed her hattrick in the 90th minute of action to make it 8-1.
