NWFL Premiership Super 6: To hold in Delta State

The board of the Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL Premiership has announced Asaba, Delta State as hosts of the 2023 season Super Six competition on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

In a release to club chairmen and general managers of the six participating clubs, the NWFL stated that the schedule for the competition which will take place between 5th to 12th of May, 2023.

The first day, Friday, 5th May, 2023 will serve as the arrival for clubs, draw and pre match meeting.

The first match day will be the next day, Saturday, 6th May where three matches will be played likewise the next day, Sunday.

Monday, 8, May will be the rest day as matches continue on Tuesday and Wednesday with three matches respectively.

Another day of rest will be observed on Thursday before the culmination of the competition on Friday with three matches.

Last year’s edition of the competition was won by Bayelsa Queens at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.

The participating teams for this year’s tournament are: Rivers Angels, Delta Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, Confluence Queens, FC Robo Queens.
