NWFL Premiership Preview: Delta, Bayelsa Queens clash highlights league restart

At the resumption of the Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL Premiership on Wednesday, one of the fixture that fans will look up to is the Delta Queens versus Bayelsa Queens tie, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

It is a clash between defending champions, Bayelsa Queens and group A leaders, Delta Queens who knock horns at the Ogwuashi Stadium.

With 16 points which keep them top of the log, the Queens from Delta seek to consolidate their place in the log while with five points adrift of the zenith, the Prosperity Girls will do all they can to get a win to cut short gap.

Delta Queens have been better between the two sides as they have won five out of six matches and drew one.

On the hand, the reigning champions, Bayelsa Queens have not been at their best with three wins, two draws and a loss after six matches

The two teams played each other at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium this season and it was surprising win for Delta Queens as they won by two goals to one.

In 2022, there was nothing to choose between the two sides as they played a one all draw after 90 minutes.
