NPFL’23: NFF approves 28 December date for draws and 8 January for start of league

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has given the Interim Management Committee (IMC) the go ahead to conduct the draw for the 2022-23 NPFL Season.

This was communicated via a letter signed by the Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire on behalf of the General Secretary of the federation,

The draw scheduled for 2pm Nigeria time the Sandralia Hotel in Abuja on this Wednesday the 28 of January, 2022.

The NFF has also empowered the IMC to start the league season on January 8th, 2023.

It will be recalled that the issue of the commencement of the league has been shrouded in dispute after the club owners refused the abridged league format proposed by the IMC after a meeting not two parties last Wednesday.

The IMC has promised to go ahead with their resolution stating it is the best solution at this time while the club owners have decided to boycott the draws if the IMC decides to go ahead without accepting their proposition.

The club owners have a scheduled a meeting for this Wednesday at a separate venue.
