Nigeria Premier League side, El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri have expressed shock over the sudden demise of one of their officials and staunch supporter, Malam Usman Kafarja popularly called ‘Warriors’.
The management of El-Kanemi Warriors has announced that the official died on Monday after a brief illness and would be missed greatly by the club at the time that his services are needed most.
The Team Manager of the club, Alhaji Ajayi Baba described the death of ‘Warriors’ as a rude shock saying pain will linger for sometime as he was a dedicated official of the club.
“We are still in shock following the untimely death of one of us, Malam Usman Kafarje better known as ‘Warriors’.
“It will take us a long time to come to terms with this painful reality. He died at a time that his contributions were beginning to yield fruits for the club.
“He spent his life supporting this team and we are going to miss him greatly. You can see that when the news of his death reached us, we could not try on Monday,” he said.
The Team manager prayed for God to give the family of Kafarje the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The late Kafarje recently acted as chairman of El-kanemi Warriors and masterminded the resurgence in the club.
