NPFL Rumour: Olafimihan Gafar set for Remo Stars move

Shooting Stars forward Gafar Olafimihan has been rumoured to be on his way Remo Stars, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

Gafar who singlehandedly led Shooting Stars back to the NPFL in 2021 scoring over 15 league goals in the NNL could not replicate the goalscoring form in his debut NPFL season with the Oluyole Warriors.

This has led to many including members of the last technical crew casting doubts on his abilities and with the emergence of Gbenga Ogunbote as the new head coach of Shooting Stars, a man known to build his own team around his trusted players, Gafar may not fit into the plans in Ibadan.

However, report has it that Remo Stars gaffer Daniel Ogunmodede, a long time admirer of the forward is keen to add him to their ranks in Ikenne.

The bid to add more firepower to his attacking options, several names have been proposed to the Sky Blue Stars with Gafar Olafimihan likely to join the Ikenne train.

No concrete offer yet but the deal might be closer than thought with the transfer deadline approaching and also with the club yet to finalise the contract issue of Andy Okpe.
