Defending champions, Remo Stars Beyond Limits Football Academy have retained their Nigeria Premier Football League LaLiga U-15 Promise title for the 2023 season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Junior Sky Blue Stars defeated Plateau United by a goal to nil courtesy of a goal by Opeyemi Yusuf at the Remo Stars Stadium on Friday evening.
The first half was cagey one as the Mees Palace Football Academy representatives of Plateau United held Remo Stars through out the first half.
In the second half, the tempo of the game continued like it was in the first half as there was nothing to choose between the two sides for another twenty minutes.
However, top scorer of the tournament, Yusuf showed he is the boy for big moments as he scored his tenth and the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute for his team to be crowned champions for the second year running.
