Norwich City interest in Nigerian Defender

Ekong

Norwich City, along with a host of other Championship and a couple of Premier League clubs are interested in Nigerian centre back, William Troost-Ekong according to the respected Voetbal International.

Troost-Ekong is 23 and played for in the top division for Norwegian club, Haugesund on loan from Belgian club, Gent, last season. Rather unusually for a loan player, he was given Captaincy of the side at the start of 2016.

The lad is relatively quick and decent in the air and he has collected 5 caps for Nigeria, as well.

He was born in Holland (so presumably has dual citizenship) and played youth football for Fulham and then Spurs before moving back to Holland with FC Groeningen in 2013. He has yet to make a senior appearance for Gent but seems to have really blossomed into a prospect last term.
