Northern Affair Between Nasarawa And El-Kanemi

After observing rest in the week 28 encounter following the demotion of their would-have-been opponent, Giwa FC, El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will face an uphill task against Nasarawa United tomorrow.
Nasarawa United, in Lagos last Sunday, were almost losing to Ikorodu United after coming from behind twice to level scores and ended the match 2-2.
Ikorodu United scored in the 36 minute and 60th minutes through Duke Effiong and Oluwole Balogun respectively and Nasarawa leveled through Abdulrahman Bashir and Samson Gbadebo in the 46 and 64 minutes respectively.
The Solid Miners will obviously want to take all the three points on offer against El-Kanemi having maintained unbeaten run at home in the current season and will draw huge inspiration from having defeated some of the heavyweights like Enyimba, Rivers United, among others at home.
Nasarawa are 9th on the table with 37 points from 26 matches, while El-Kanemi Warriors are 13th on the log after garnering 34 points from the same number of matches. The Ladan Bosso wards have been found wanting in their away matches but have been lethal since their relocation to Maiduguri.
Speaking ahead of the match, Bosso said that El-Kanemi would be in Lokoja to win, assuring their fans that there was no course for alarm.
“We are going to the Nasarawa United match with one aim, which is to win. This is not to say that we are underrating them because we know what they can do when playing at home,” he said.
Prediction 1-0 (for Nasarawa)
