Rovers FC were forced to a goalless draw by Vandrezzer FC in the Nigeria National League, NNL match played at the Eket Stadium on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The match between the Calabar based club and the Lions ended 1-1 after the two goals were scored in the second half of the encounter.
After a goalless affair in the first 45 minutes, the Guests got the fans into action, scoring the first goal of the game.
Junior Osaghae got the opener in the 52nd minute after an assist from Ekom Effiong.
However, the Hosts replied quickly, getting the equalizer through Kone Ibrahim in the 54th minute.
At the end, there was nothing to choose between the two sides in the highly anticipated fixture which marks the end to the first stanza of the NNL.
Rovers FC remain top of the Southern Conference group B1 with 11 points after matches, five points ahead of third place Vandrezzer FC.
