NNL’23: Kastina, Edel, Mighty Jets, Abeokuta Stormers end first stanza in style

The Nigeria National League reached the midway point at the weekend with four away victories although some teams are yet to play the final first round game, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

Kastina United continue their push for immediate topflight return as they defeat FWC-Champions 2-1 away from home.

Edel FC were one of the biggest winners over the weekend as they recorded their first win of the season away at Ibom Youths FC.

Mighty Jets pip their host Mailantarki Care by a lone goal as a 2-0 away win at FC Ebedei for Abeokuta Stormers complete the number of away wins recorded at the weekend.

Elsewhere, Heartland FC leapfrog Giant Brillars FC on the summit of group B4 log with a hard-fought 3-2 scoreline in a thrilling encounter. The Naze Millionaires remain unbeaten as they continue their push for a quick return to the topflight.

NAF FC, Jigawa Golden Stars, FC One Rocket, ABS, Sporting Lagos and Ekiti United all recorded wins as massive draws were seen.
