NNL: Dakkada FC end Madiba FC unbeaten run

Dakkada Football Club handed Madiba FC its first defeat of the season in the Nigeria National League match day 8 fixture at the Uyo Township Stadium on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Defender, Clever Ime’s second half goal was all the Akwa Ibom State club needed to pip the Oshodi, Lagos State club 1-0 after 90 minutes.

It was the hosts who got close to scoring early in the first half as Aniekan Ekpe hit a 35-yard direct free-kick which goalkeeper Adeniyi narrowly tipped over for a corner kick.

Despite the pressure mounted by Dakkada, the first half ended goalless.

The goal finally came with 10 minutes into the second half as Ime headed in the goal, his third of the season which was enough for Dakkada to get maximum points.

The win takes Dakkada FC to fourth with 12 points.
