Osun United on Monday defeated HMK FC 3-1 to move level on points with C1A leaders, Hammola FC, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
The Omoluabi Giants went into the break trailing HMK FC but soon after the restart, Qudus Moshood level the game for them.
Godspower put them ahead for the first time in the game minutes after the equaliser as substitute, Solomon llesanmi put the icing on the cake to wave off equalising threats from the opponent.
With 6 points from two games, Osun United are only behind Hammola FC with goal difference.
Earlier in the group, Hammola FC hammered Pegba-1 Sporting Club 3-0.
Olanrewaju Azeez (21′), Olujugba Ayokunle (42′) and Ajao Abass (86′) were all on the score sheet for the Lee Bombers.
Also in the group, Igbajo United recorded their first win of the campaign spanking Fehinty FC 4-1.
The battle for supremacy in the in the group looks like one that will go down till the final day.
