After 90 minutes of an end to end encounter, the star match of the match day 1 fixture between Kano Pillars feeders and Kwankwasiya United FC in the Nationwide League One ended in stalemate on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The tie which was greeted with an electrifying atmosphere of about 5,000 spectators and top dignitaries, culminated in a one-all draw after regulation time at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

The Group G2A fixture started with so much to offer from the two teams, but after proceedings in the first 45 minutes, no goal was recorded by both sides as it ended 0-0 in the first phase.
Returning to the pitch for the second instalment, the two teams came at each other in a bid to outwit the other and it was Kwankwasiya Utd FC that drew the first blood few minutes into the half.
Kwankwasiya Utd won a penalty which Nafiu Shuaibu stepped up and his powerful drive flashed past Pillars goalkeeper into the net as they lead 0-1 after 53 minute.

However, ten minutes later, Auwalu Abdullah steered the ball into the bottom corner to restore parity for Pillars, setting up a delicately poised atmosphere in the remaining minutes.
In the 71 minute, Kwankwasiya Utd goalie, Emmanuel Richard made a fine double save to deny Ahmed Aminu from the spot.
With the time ticking away, it became obvious that nothing will separate the two teams despite attempts at goal as the referee blew the final whistle at the exhaustion of the allotted time.
