Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa on Saturday defeated Federal Polytechnic Ede to claim men’s football gold at the 2023 Nigeria Polytechnic Games, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
Following a goalless regulation time scores in the game played at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa won the penalty shootout 5-4 to become the football event champion of 2023 NIPOGA.
It was a reward for consistency for Nasarawa football side who finished third in the last edition of the competition.
NIPOGA is an organized event for Polytechnic students in Nigeria where athletes from different schools compete for honours in different sports.
